  i haven't seen any comments on this yet.... in the december 15, 2008 "study" version of the watchtower, in the last study article (the one to be covered march 1), paragraph 14 reads thusly in part:.

  "...one january evening, the man asked his wife, jodi, what she knew of jehovah's witnesses.

  she was a catholic, and she said that the only thing she linked to the witnesses to was "door-to-door preaching".

  I'm sure lots of people do google dubs. I'm sure about 95% are inoculated against them by doing so.

  i've been corresponding with a dub via email, talking about mostly evolution but now the subject has changed.

  she reckons there is proof for poltergeists and other demonic happenings.

  many dubs, including my parents-in-law and local elders, have similar tales.

  i spoke to an elderly sister, 94, who is deteriorating rapidly.

  she honestly believed she would never die.. obviously she is desperate to deny to herself that the cult she allowed to steal her one and only life a second at a time is still true.. "the generation change is just like 1975 - we were sifted.

  we were being tested as to who was serving jehovah for a date and those with unbreakable trust in the organisation he has appointed.".

  I did. And the reply was that things happened to her and other people and isn't that proof?
  Eh, no! Its not! She believes there is proof for demon activities but not for evolution...

  ...just another victim of the cult.

  I watched Derren Brown's "Seance" (sp?) recently and that showed what a sham those ghost hunts are. I told this to my dub mother who said

  "The demons didn't turn up because they knew it was a hoax" !!!! I just about burst trying not to laugh in her face! Clever them demons, eh? Stupid people can fall for Derren's pranks but not them demons.

  I'm with you for the most part but this person says she has experienced these things herself as she was involved with the occult before finding "truth" with the witnesses.

  So I can't exactly go back and tell her she imagined it.

Many dubs, including my parents-in-law and local elders, have similar tales. I heard lots of scary stories when i was in, and the warnings usually involved not taking 2nd hand clothes/items in to the home or not listening to or purchasing music of certain bands.

  So has anyone on here any first hand experience of any spooky goings-on? For those who don't believe in the supernatural, what explanation is there for these kinds of experiences?

  Kitten Name Ideas...

  so my wife and i just recently got 10 week old kittens.

  we're trying to come up with names for them.

  since it's a boy and a girl which are brother and sister my wife suggested luke and leiah, i suggested he-man and she-ra, we've suggested princess guienivier bananahammock and bob, sampson and delilah, adam and eve...it's been a long process.. so last night in i guess a semi-ephiphany i was thinking of classic literature and came up with alice and the mad catter.
